The AudioRax Story: Shaped by Sound, Built by Hand
Every piece of furniture that leaves the AudioRax workshop begins the same way: as raw, hand-selected lumber waiting on my workbench. I am incredibly grateful every time an audio professional trusts my hands to build a home for their gear.
But behind the logo and the website, AudioRax isn't a large factory or a corporate team. It’s just me, a pile of wood, and a commitment to doing things right.
My background isn't in mass manufacturing; my world has always been about sound. I earned my degree in Audio Production and spent years working behind consoles, managing live sound setups, setting up recording environments, and playing in different bands. AudioRax started very simply because I wanted to build furniture that treated high-end gear with the respect it deserves—focusing on the small, critical details like precise rail alignment, proper ventilation, natural studio workflows, and quality materials that will last a lifetime.
I eventually traded the mixing board for the workbench because I wanted to bridge the gap between acoustic necessity and traditional woodworking craftsmanship.
A great studio rack shouldn't just hold gear; it should be an inspiring piece of heirloom furniture. Instead of trying to grow into a massive assembly line, I chose to keep things small and intentional. I slow down to focus on the details that a machine will miss: matching the natural grain patterns of the wood, hand-sanding every edge until it’s perfectly smooth, and ensuring that every joint is tight, square, and built to last.When you buy from AudioRax, you aren't just buying furniture—you are partnering directly with the craftsman who built it.
