Q: What is the "inside" width of the rack - rail-to-rail? I have a use case for some network gear that I want to partially display and this is a perfect size for my need.
A: The most crucial measurement is center of threaded hole to center of threaded hole, left-to-right. We follow 19 inch rack standards which calls for 18-1/4 inches hole-to-hole on center.
Q: What is the height in front from the bottom to where the rack rails begin?
A: From the bottom of the rack rails to the desk surface the rack is sitting on, it is 5 inches.
Q: Are there any rubber feet or something like that to keep the rack from sliding on a table?
A: We currently do not have any type of rubber feet on the bottom of these. The bottom of the "leg" pieces are raw wood though, so they will be more resistant to move. We will keep this request in mind for future updates.
Q: Do you make this in 2u?
A: We now offer this in a 2U version: https://www.audiorax.com/bmm-rp2
Q: Do you offer this rack with additional rails on the back?
A: Please contact us before placing the order and we will instruct you on how to add rear rails.
Q: Of what material is this rack constructed? (4U Black Angled Desktop Rack)
Do you also offer this style rack in larger sizes?
A: All of our Blackout series racks are 3/4 inch Black Thermofused Melamine with a Vinyl T-Mold edge.
We do not offer this style of rack in larger sizes. We do offer larger desktop angled racks in hardwood. "Browse by type" in the menu above to see the available models.
Q: For PN BMM-RP4 is there an option for a rear panel to allow for a cleaner installation? Do you have CAD drawings for this unit?
A: We could offer rear rack rails that you could mount rack panels to. That would be a nice clean install. You could put blank panels, vented panels, or our cable management panels on those rails.
We do not currently have a CAD drawing. We will work on getting this done.
Q: What is the finish? Paint? Laminate?
A: Black Thermofused Melamine
Q: is this rack totally flat from inside corner to inside corner on the bottom between the side panels?.
i may at times wish to place this on top of a speaker cabinet that would fit between the sides of this rack.
A: Yes, the bottom of the bottom panel is completely flat.
