Great stand!

As a graphic designer I spend many hours using my dual monitor computer every day, and was looking for a product to raise everything up four inches to be able to sit with better posture. The AudioRax stand is amazing. In addition to "doing the job" (perfect shape, substantial, won't sag or fall apart), it is made from hardwood (maple) and looks gorgeous.

Q: Is the 36" width true to size? It is to be placed in a space that is 37" wide. Could it be made with a 6-inch height? Is the 2" tall support board across the back at the top or the bottom? Is Maple the best wood to use for a Black Poly Opaque finish? Is there any assembly needed by me? Thank you.

A: Our measurements are exact. If you choose 36 inches, it will be exactly 36 inches. You can do a custom height by choosing the next size up - 8 inches in this case. On the checkout page, there is a text box for notes. Write in BUILD 6 INCHES TALL and we will do this for you. The 2 inch support board is across the top of the rear opening. Maple is the best wood for the Black Poly finish. We ship these fully assembled. It is ready to use out of the box.
