Q: I want one of these racks (floor rack). How do I know if I want the 16" deep? Also, how do I know which option for the rail inset? Thanks

A: Please refer to the schematic image to see the usable racking depth for the bottom versus the top of the rack. The rail inset is how far back the rail is mounted from the front edge. Please refer to the "Rack Option" page in the menu for a detailed explanation.

Q: hi there. was wondering if I could order the 10U Slanted Rack with a deeper work surface on top. I want to park my 8 track machine on there and it needs to be 19" deep and your top is 12". is that possible? if so, how do I go about ordering? thanks in advance!

Q: About to order a 10 space rack. Will likely finish myself for budgetary reasons - but would still like a nice wood grain look that enhances those dovetail joints. Can you recommend a good wood choice for this, since I'm concerned the standard beech might not be a very interesting grain. (am I right about this?) Thanks for the help.

A: The Beech is Rustic, so it is interesting. To get something nicer, we recommend Hickory. Check out our gallery for pictures of some completed racks to help you decide.

Q: Ebony stain available for 10U I'm lookcing at? The AudioRax Slant, 16" Deep. I don't see a stain choice. I selected Rustic Black Walnut Wood but I'd like the ebony stain to match rest of studio,

A: We quit offering stains on Walnut as too many people regretted their decision. We only offer clear finishes on Walnut. If you have gotten our Ebony dye stain (different than an oil Ebony stain) on a Walnut piece from us in the past, we can match it for you. Just contact us so we can look up your past order.

Q: I own one of your Baltic Birch rack cases in Cobalt. Looks great. But this case with finger joints requires ordering a different material - can you tell me which wood looks best in the cobalt stain (which wood material absorbs it the best)? Thank you.

A: This model is also available in Baltic Birch with the Cobalt finish if you want a perfect match. If you prefer the finger joinery and a hardwood material, you can choose solid Beech and the Cobalt finish option will be available in the menus.
