Q: These are 15" mounting depth right?

A: These are open back. If you want your gear completely enclosed in the rack, the mounting depth is about 11-3/4 inches.

Q: Is it possible to add a pair of 2u rails at the bottom back to allow for a power strip and cable management through the back. I’m looking at a standard studio rack if that matters in the decision.

A: Definitely. Just purchase the rails you want in the back from our hardware category and put a note in the special instructions box on the checkout page exactly where you want them installed.

Q: Would the Apollo X6 fit comfortably in this rack?

A: The Apollo X6 chassis is listed as 12.12 inches deep. The racking depth of our rack is 11.75 inches deep. The chassis would stick out the back 0.37 inches, plus connectors.

Q: What's the depth of this rack? does the 4-hole rack rails option increase the height of the item, or is the vertical distance between each hole shorter? I'm hoping to find a 1u solution for my Apollo interface but want to ensure there is some extra space above the unit for proper ventilation.

A: The usable racking depth is 11.25 inches if you don't want your gear to stick out the back. The footprint is 13 inches deep. The 4-hole rails are the same height as the 3-hole rails. You would want a 2U rack for extra space above and below your interface.
