In stand-up mode, the usable racking depth is 8 inches before the bottom 1U intersects your desktop. In laid-down mode, the usable racking depth is 4-1/2 inches in front and 8 inches in the back.

Q: Will the SSL UF8 fit in this Laying down like the first picture? Width is 17" 10.5 depth

A: The SSL UF8 (with the rack ear kit from SSL) should fit great. It is 2.4 inches tall and we have about 4 inches of clearance when the rack is laid down.
