A:
If the rack is going to live in the same place its whole life, I would trust the durability of MDF. If it is going to be moved around a lot, or is going to be dis-assembled and re-assembled at any point, I would upgrade to one of the hardwoods.

Would it be possible to order now, but have you not ship it to arrive until on or after March 1? (I am moving to a new apartment and need to reconfigure the studio stuff. I also don't want to carry it over from the old apartment to the new!)
