Q:
I wish to put this on the floor perpendicular rather than parallel to the floor. I would like to have the rubber feet installed on the side rather than the bottom for this purpose. Is this possible? (Am I being clear?) Thank you!

Yes, we can do that. Please put a note in the special instructions box on the checkout page to put the rubber feet on the side panel instead of the bottom. We will see that and make sure it happens.
